“No le vamos a dar voz a los represores”: (des)autorizaciones y (des)legitimaciones en las audiencias del juicio a Etchecolatz
Main Article Content
Abstract
In 2006 took place in La Plata a trial to former General Director of Investigations of the Buenos Aires Police during the last dictatorship, Miguel Etchecolatz. He was accused of eight cases of illegal freedom deprivation, torture and murder, and finally he was sentenced to life imprisonment. This was the first trial after Punto Final (Full Stop) and Obediencia Debida (Due Obedience) laws were abolished and, unlike trials conducted during the eighties, was the figure of complainants. Addition to the state prosecutor, individuals, human rights organizations and various social organizations participated in the prosecution. In this paper we analyze the different legal and political strategies adopted by social actors during the oral stage of the trial, as part of struggles over meanings of the past
