Abstract
This article aims to review some of the main concepts of the theoretical currents of social protest and conflict applied to the case of Argentina during the 1990's. The main areas of study will be how subjects, identities and methods of protest have been characterized by the local sociological literature. Finally, the article proposes confrontation as the historical unit of analysis and as an attempt to cover the three above mentioned areas of study
