Dos caras frente al espejo : Una comparación de las sociologías argentina y chilena entre 1966 y 1976
Main Article Content
Abstract
The institutionalization of Sociology in Argentina has been very well studied during the last years. In particular, academic works have concentrated on the period 1955-1966, the so called "golden ages" of the National University of Buenos Aires. Yet, the following decade, up to the military coup of 1976, has been insufficiently studied. In general this latest period has been considered as the antithesis of the previous -and "productive"- one. This article approaches the study of the field of Sociology in Argentina during the years 1966-1976 through its comparison with the Chilean case during the same period. We understand that a comparative approach can help us to better understand the Argentine case within the broader framework of the field in the Latin American context.
